The filmmaker and his producer wander around the city researching different aspects of the problematic, from looking to some of earth’s tallest buildings from a distance to trying to understand how does that industry works, who are the people behind the cranes, the glass, the soil and the design of the smartest city in China. The documentary tries to understand the issue from several points of view, including testimonies from two important architects, a deep walk inside one of the biggest construction sites in Shenzhen, a detailed look at green buildings, and a young girl trying to understand the work behind her surroundings.
