Los Angeles is a city comprised of plenty Start-ups and companies eager to make it. With the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood Hills being a stone’s throw away, businesses look at it as a land of never-ending opportunity. As the environment of Los Angeles continues to push the envelope and become more daring than the previous years, we are seeing an incredible evolution in fashion that seemingly adapts to the city’s ever-changing social climate. Brands are now looking to create buzz with one of a kind designer pieces versus creating a mass product for sustainability.
A brand that is at the forefront of cutting-edge design and seeking to earn a stamp in the industry is, NI4. The acronym NI4 standsfor Nothing Icons Forever, and Nothing Icons Forever encourages people to “Represent the Moment”. Specifically, the present moment that we are in. For every generation there is a specific moment in time, that seemingly brings reality to a complete halt.NI4 aims to go above and beyond through use of textiles and garment textures to create unique, quality clothing. One garment that caught the eyes of consumers was completely constructed of PVC and 3M reflective trim to replicate the suit of an astronaut, which explains why the brand is quickly gathering the attention of the masses.
When the brand was founded in 2017 by, Madelyn Wang, she initially catered to casual lifestyle wear. However, as the designs became more and more intricate, the market was soon outgrown. The brand was later joined by two more partners, Tony Jung and Troy Also, who shared the same vision and supplemented to the brand.
Though NI4 is still fairly young, it is growing at a rapid pace in the social media world. Over the winter, all photos shot for the companies first visual magazine were shot in Berlin. Despite being a Los Angeles based brand, NI4 prides the brand on longevity and the idea of diversity. No one rule or regulation has held this brand back in order to gain success in the fashion industry. The focal idea of this brand is very clear through their art work, which is to creating garments that are timeless and differentiating from others.
After solidifying the NI4 name at the most recent, February 5th Las Vegas Agenda Trade Show, it’s safe to say “Nothing Icons Forever” will be looking to continue its trend of relevance for the remainder of time.
