Tibetans believe that all things have reincarnation cause and effect, only the stone remains unchanged forever. In Tibetan Buddhism, “Mani” stands for the six-character truth, and the Scriptures engraved on stones can bless those who pray for blessings for eternity. The Jianamani Stone sutra city, which is built of rocks, is also the largest Mani Stone Pile in the world.
The protagonist of the film (Ageng) is a traditional Tibetan Mani stone sculptor. Up to now, tens of thousands of pieces have been carved and dedicated to the Jiana Mani Stone Sutra City. Recording this repeated and uninterrupted process, it opens a window for us to reflect on life, death and reincarnation.
