El general de brigada diplomado de Estado Mayor en proceso de retiro Luis Rodríguez Bucio será el comandante de la Guardia Nacional, anunció este jueves el Gobierno federal.

Luis Rodríguez Bucio cuenta con 45 años de servicio activo, doctorado en Defensa y Seguridad Nacional y Presidente de la Junta Interamericana de Defensa en la OEA.

"Ya hay mando para la Guardia Nacional, la coordinación de este organismo y la comandancia, como es sabido, se van a unir las corporaciones de tres instituciones, se une la Policía Federal, la Policía Naval, la Policía Militar y se constituye con esos elementos la Guardia Nacional". AMLO

¿Quién es Luis Rodríguez Bucio?

El General Rodríguez Bucio nació en Condembaro, Municipio de Tancitaro, Michoacán, México, el 27 de agosto de 1956.

· Ingresó como cadete al Heroico Colegio Militar en 1973, graduándose como Subteniente de Infantería en 1977, año en el que fue asignado al Segundo Batallón de Guardias Presidenciales, donde prestó sus servicios hasta el año 1985.

· Fungió como Ayudante del Secretario de Relaciones Exteriores en los años 1981 y 1982.

· En enero de 1989, fue transferido al Estado Mayor Presidencial, localizado en Los Pinos, Ciudad de México. Tuvo responsabilidad en el planeamiento y ejecución de las actividades logísticas durante las giras y eventos oficiales del Presidente Carlos Salinas de Gortari dentro y fuera del país.

· De abril de 1994 a marzo del 2000, se desempeñó como Coordinador de grupos interinstitucionales en trabajo de campo, en el Centro de Investigación y Seguridad Nacional (CISEN).

· De abril del 2000 a marzo del 2002, se desempeñó como Agregado Militar y Aéreo en la Embajada de México ante la República Federal de Alemania,

· De agosto del 2003 a septiembre del 2004, fue Comandante del Segundo Batallón de Fuerzas Especiales, con sede en Temamatla, México, periodo en el que participó al Mando del Batallón en Operaciones contra el narcotráfico en los Estados de Tamaulipas, Durango y Sinaloa.

· De octubre del 2004 a abril del 2010 fue Subjefe y Jefe del Grupo de Análisis e Información de Narcotráfico (GAIN), en el Estado Mayor de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional.

· De octubre del 2011 a junio del 2013, fue asignado al Cuartel General de la IV Región Militar como Coordinador de Operaciones, en Monterrey, Nuevo León, para atender las actividades de los grupos vinculados al narcotráfico que operaban en los Estados de Nuevo León, Tamaulipas y San Luis Potosí.
