5 police officers shot in southeast Houston; suspect is dead

The Houston Police Department is responding to a shooting in southeast Houston involving several police officers Monday. CBS affiliate KHOU-TV reports five officers were wounded in the shooting.
"Officers are en route to the hospital," police tweeted. "Please avoid the area and yield for emergency vehicles."
"We have had several officers shot. Please pray for officers," Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted.
The suspect is down, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner tweeted.
